Feminism, Stubbornness and Flattery

Isaiah 3:12 "as for my people, children are their oppressors and women rule over them. O my people, they that lead they cause thee to err and destroy the way of thy paths."

God expects his people to obey him.. he promises blessings for obedience and chastisements for disobedience. 

1.  Feminism and child rule
2.  Stubbornness: The sin of "I will do it my way"
3.  Flattery: The sin of tell us what we want to hear

Feminism: God's people were oppressed by children and ruled by women.. they were causing error and causing God's people to stray.  Feminism is always displeasing to God.  Women ruling is always displeasing to God especially in God's church.  Feminism is a sin among God's people.  Christians are conditioned by world's media to allow feminism into churches.  If churches were obeying the bible, feminism would not be in the church if the new testament Epistles were taught.

I Will Do it My Way:  a natural expression of the fallen nature.. in Deuteronomy God commands his people to walk in his ways and not to follow their own heart, their own imagination, following their inward feelings and desires. (Jeremiah 9:13-14 "And the LORD saith, because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; but have walked after the imagination of their own heart......") (Jeremiah 13:10 "This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.")  You walk in your own way you are good for nothing.  (Psalm 81:13 "Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways.") In Old Testament Israel slipped and copied the pagan nations and did things the world's way.   God says "don't worship me with the world or pagan's ways.  Don't worship me by the world's techniques or methods..God says that scripture is to be the final rule of worship.  Worship not done in God's way that he commands, is not acceptable to God.  Many churches today commit the sin of "I will do it my way, I will worship God in ways he has not commanded in the thoughts of our own hearts."  Don't worship God by doing things that the bible does not command you to do.  Don't worship God in the way that the pagans of this world worship its gods.  Where scripture has no tongue we must have no ears.  The scriptures fully contain the will of God, the whole manner of worship God commands of us is in his holy Word..  the modern church has drifted into worldly ways.  Paganism is presented as worship.  If its not commanded in God's word its not worship, it's the sin of "I will do it my way."  the sin of self-expression, our tastes before scripture.

Tell us What We Want to Hear: Amos 2:11-12 "And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites.  Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.  But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying "Prophesy not.", Isaiah 30:10 "which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:".  Its still the same under the new covenant 2 Timothy 4:2-4 "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."  People don't like the truth because it offends their feelings.  Today's churches are the same, they do not want teaching on sin, repentance, judgment..  Preach God's love, that's what they want, give people what they want to hear..  seeker sensitive.  Old testament and New testament talk about sin and God's judgment as well as God's love.

In the book of Acts, the love of God is not mentioned once, love is not the central topic in gospel preaching.  Most unsaved people do not want to hear a toned down message, but that is the attitude in modern churches, love only.  Don't preach on sin or judgment or hell.  Adjust the word to fit my feelings.. but if you don't like the word, that's tough.  Peoples feelings are becoming how we should interpret the bible.  Purpose driven church.  Jesus said "you are of your father the devil" and the people didn't like it..  Jesus didn't use seeker sensitive techniques.  You do not tell people what they want to hear, you tell them what they need to hear.  Truth is never comfortable until it is embraced with a whole hearted love for Christ.   The question is not "do you like it", the question is, "is it true"..  if it is true you better believe it because feelings are not the measure, truth is the measure.  

Do you believe that Jesus is God
Will you trust that Jesus is God
If you believe in Christ you will be in Heaven
